Six of our Funky Trunks F-Teamers raced against the best in the world at the 14th FINA World Short Course Swimming Champs in Hangzhou, China. There was plenty of fast racing and several awesome record breaking swims from our athletes.

Daniel Hunter and George Schroder made up half of the team that broke the New Zealand record for the 4 x 200m Freestyle relay by a massive 4 seconds. The record was last broken at the 2006 World SC Champs so it's been a long time coming!

Irish F-Teamer Brendan Hyland also made waves after breaking a number of Irish records. Brendan took 3 seconds off his own 200m Butterfly record to come in 10th in the world. He then went on to clear Conor Brines's 100m Butterfly record by .66 seconds. Brendan was also part of the record breaking Irish medley teams, including the 4 x 100m Medley team which came in 3:27.23, breaking a 27 year old record! Awesome effort from the Emerald Isle lads.

Slovakian Olympian Richard Nagy also put in an impressive effort in the pool. His best event was the 400m IM were he came in 9th in the world. Thanyapura teammates Ayman Kelzieh and Cherantha got flying at World SC Champs. Ayman came close to his Syrian national record in the 200m Butterfly, while Cherantha gave the 50m and 100m Butterfly his all.

What a great event and some great results from our F-Teamers.
